A beautiful country with a vast landscape.

Landed in this country on 18th of May, 2010, received a good response from the officials at Airport and immigration section. The good nature of people shows the goodness of the country.

I saw many good people around who are willing to help a 'new comer'. Follow the rules & regulations, and you are a good Citizen in this country. I heard that the city has a child-friendly policy, which will allow any parent trying to correct his son or daughter will get punishment if found guilty under the law.

First thing you have to do is to book an Apartment well in advance. You can find trusted friends online to do that. If possible try to come on the day when they are also free and to come & pick you up at the Airport.

The next few days priority will be a good sleep, as our biological clock will have to adjust itself to the new situation as in India, it will be day time, and we may face difficulty in sleeping pattern. Other major thing I noticed is that the `day light` (Sun) will be on the horizon till 8.30 PM. and sun rises around 5 AM.

The second priority is to start a bank account, to secure the money you brought in. It has another benefit too, to prove your address & financial statement, so that you will have to produce it for Health Insurance on a later stage.

Social Insurance Number is the next you have to take; you have to wander around your locality to find shopping places too.
